2.1 Log In

 

The Log In can be performed by selecting the Icon in the upper right hand part of the screen Sign In. 

Or at an automatic required time as PSC product has been setup per the merchant/manufactures desire.  The merchants options are to:

a) Require log in before the final check out.

b) Require log in after a part is added to the shopping cart and before you see the PSC features/options.

c) Log In required to request Log In (this makes only a valid User is able to add new customers) see more notes in the register section.

Sign Into Your Account

Email    'Name' must not be left blank. Must use a valid email address.  Password    'Password' must not be left blank. Remember My Sign-In Across Browser Restarts  If you are a new user and you don't have an account with PSC, then register for one now. If you click below and this screen appears again the company has enter your Sign In.  Check the Request Sign In page to receive it.

A unique e-mail is required and the password.  The ability for the consumer to add his own e-mail & Log In is per the merchant/manufactures setup.  The options are any consumer can add his own e-mail or the consumer has to request the merchant/manufactures to add a e-mail & password.

This e-mail address is used to send you e-mail for new orders so be sure to supply a valid address.

2.2 Selecting Product Category

On the left side of the screen select a product category.  This product category can be selected at any time during the process.  This is a required selection from the first screen or any time a part from another product category can be added.

Welcome to Options Selection. Sign In to see your name PSC is a dynamic shopping cart that allow you to make OPTION selections about the product(s) that are being Quoted/Purchased. Select the product category on the left to see menu of products.  Click the top link to see more details about a product or the Add To Cart to start the selection process. Enter the Quantity then make the selections and click  Update Your Cart to display the price.

Upon clicking on a product category on the left all parts in that category are displayed similar to the mockup below.

2.3 Adding part to Shopping Cart

Click on ICON and the information will appear as shown in 2.4

 

2.4 Answering Specification for the part

This is the core part part of PSC.  At the top of the Shopping Cart screen is the Product ID, Product Name, Model, Quantity, the base unit price if applicable, the sub total (Qty multiplied by Price), the Remove Box, and the View button for the details.  The first question that you should enter is the desired quantity.

The merchant/manufactures has defined the applicable prompts for each product ID.  They are user enter fields with number or alpha numeric and drop down selection.

The buyer will answer all of the selection items then press the Update Shopping Cart ICON and the unit price will be updated if no error are at the top.  For more details on errors see section 2.4.1.

2.4.1 PSC error messages

Only one (1) error message appears at a time.  After the error message appears read it and make the changes then press "Update Your Shopping Cart" ICON.  If more error message appear continue to correct them.  If errors are left on a part and Final Check Out is attempted without the error being corrected you will not be allowed to continue.  Therefore the error will need to be corrected or the part needs to be deleted to continue to final check out.

2.4.1.1

Error: 1. Name of Sign Must be a Min. 5 Max. 25 Characters

Solution: Enter data in the "1. Name" that is between 5 and 25 in length.   Note these message are defined by the administrator and can vary as to word in the message.

Solution: Enter data in the "1. Name" that is between 5 and 25 in length. This is an example without a defined message & the system displays this message.

2.4.2 PSC Uploaded file from local computer to the web server

The Parametric Shopping Cart-PSC allows the PSC users to further customize their purchases by directly uploading files for further processing by the Merchant/Manufactures staff.

Below is a portion of a screen.  If the following error message or something similar is displayed you did not enter the path.

"Error parsing the supplied options: Image file name is required each time you update Cart."

The following error message appears if the systems administrator has not setup the server correctly or something has changed.  Call you system administrator to correct the error.

2.4.4 PSC Inter relationship checking

When one options is selected there can be requirements that you must also selected a certain options.

This feature is presently being test and will soon be released.

 

 

 

2.5 Adding more Parts

PSC allows multiple parts on a order.  To do so select the appropriate product category and repeat the process as indicated above.

2.6 Deleting Parts from shopping cart

Select "cart" in the upper right corner which will display the products ID in the Cart, then check the Delete box then update the Cart.
